Allergic Reaction Clindamycin Rash After 10 Days. 2 days postdischarge he started developing rash. I took last one on 226 then on 35 I developed a rash that has gotten much worse. The rash can last up to 14 days after stopping the medication unfortunately. Postdischarge he was prescribed oral clindamycin for 2 more weeks.
Anyone able to help me. Our findings confirmed a delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction possibly involving a T-cell-mediated immunologic mechanism. I was on Clindamycin for a tooth abscess infection.
